NEWS UPDATES

OpenAI Launches Founder Fellowship

OpenAI has unveiled Grove, a five-week, in-person residency at its San Francisco HQ for about 15 technical builders who are still pre-idea. Participants get workspace, hands-on access to unreleased OpenAI tools, and weekly mentoring from research leaders, no equity taken. Applications close 25 September 2025, and the first cohort starts in November.

Grove funnels top AI talent straight into OpenAI’s orbit, creating a pipeline of future partners or rivals. CTOs and HR teams should track the cohort for early recruiting, while investors may want to pre-emptively court applicants before they lock into OpenAI’s ecosystem.

Amazon Turns Product Reviews Into AI Summaries

This holiday season, Amazon will use its own language model to boil thousands of reviews into quick “pros,” “cons,” and “best for” tags on every product page. The tool will also suggest add-on items based on common customer needs. Shoppers will see the summaries at the top of the review section on both mobile and desktop.

Sellers should refresh listings now. Highlight clear benefits and address common complaints so the AI pulls friendly language about your product, not a competitor’s. Add a short Q&A section with keyword-rich answers to help the model surface your differentiators.

Microsoft & Nebius Sign $17B GPU Deal

Microsoft has signed a $17.4 billion, five-year agreement with Amsterdam-based Nebius to secure GPU compute power, with the value potentially rising to $19.4 billion depending on usage levels. The GPU infrastructure will be delivered from Nebius’s new Vineland, New Jersey data center, which is expected to come online later this year.

Boards that plan to train large models on Azure should act fast. Ask your Microsoft rep for written guarantees on GPU volume and pricing through 2027, or explore a second cloud provider as backup. Securing capacity early could prevent costly delays when this deal drains the supply chain.
